Outside of our Annual Reports and Investigative Reviews, the OCYA also releases publications related to our mandate and services.
OCYA’s New and Revised Standards/Performance Measures
The OCYA has undertaken a review of our existing service standards and performance measures and developed standards for new areas of responsibility. With assistance from an outside firm, the OCYA developed an overall organizational Performance Measurement Framework. This process involved obtaining input from young people, OCYA staff, Legal Representation for Children and Youth (LRCY) roster lawyers, caregivers, community organizations, and other stakeholders. The outcome of this work is that OCYA now has service standards covering more areas of work, including advocacy services, investigations, intake, LRCY, engagement and education. We also have revised our performance measures for the business plan and have new targets. All of this work has clarified the results we want to achieve and will help the OCYA to better serve the children and youth we work with.
