Mandatory Reviews into Child Deaths: April 1, 2020 - September 30, 2020Mandatory ReviewLibby: Recommendation 1Mar-21Ministry of Children and Family Services, Ministry of Mental Health and AddictionThe Ministries of Health and Children’s Services should host a forum or other event that engages relevant stakeholders to highlight the actions taken and results achieved in the first two years of the province’s five-year youth suicide prevention plan (Building Strength, Inspiring Hope: A Provincial Action Plan for Youth Suicide Prevention 2019–2024), as well as steps for action to be taken in the coming two years. The ministries responsible should include a written summary of proceedings so there is a document for future public reference.Ongoing - Some ProgressMar-24The Advocate is still concerned with the continued high number of youth suicides.
